North Valley Aviation Association

The North Valley Aviation Association is comprised of individuals and groups that enjoy aviation, aircraft and flying. Those with interest in aviation are encouraged to join this group of enthusiasts. NVAA is a chapter of the California Pilots Association whose mission is to promote and preserve California's general aviation airports. (Affiliated website:

One of the main interests of the NVAA is to sponsor our youth in the love and dedication of aviation. To that end, we have developed the Chico Summer Flight Academy (SFA) program for local high school students, where several students are given the opportunity to participate in a course in ground school and in the left seat. The NVAA raises the funds necessary for this program and the students attend free. The Flight Academy will be held in June again this year. Eight more students will graduate with PIC hours, classroom training, and a firestorm of enthusiasm! For more info on the 2013 Flight Academy see the Summer Newsletter here. All contributions welcome!

The NVAA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your contributions to the NVAA and/or the Summer Flight Academy may be tax deductable.

Were you looking for the North Valley Pilots Association? You found us. We've changed our name a bit to emphasize that we welcome everyone with an interest in aviation.
